I am using AMD Radeon Pro W5700X (Apple MPX) and AMD Radeon Pro 580X (Apple MPX). I bought my new AMD Radeon Pro W5700X graphics card from Apple Store.
Will the 580X and 5700X together produce more performance than the 5700X alone? Do I need to unplug the 580X graphics card to upgrade the 5700X?
Multi-GPU support is application dependent. Most applications will not be able to use both GPUs, but some high-end rendering software can.
Uninstalling the 580X will save you a little on your electrical bill but otherwise isn't necessary if you don't need the PCIe slot space.
