Blue Yeti with iPad Pro 2020

Hi I have been using the iPad Pro 2020 for Zoom and Microsoft Teams calls for the past 6 months. I always have to use it with my bluetooth earphones, due to the "echo effect" that arises on these calls on the iPad regularly.

I got an external Blue Yeti Nano to solve this problem, by trying to use an external microphone. However, when I plug the microphone via the USB C to USB A adapter, the audio output is also transferred to the mic, making the iPad built in speakers, effectively mute.

I can't find options to change the audio input/output settings on the iPad unlike the Mac, or am I missing something?

Hi there phenommenon,

We're happy to help with using your external mic with the iPad Pro. Looking at the article about connecting devices to the USB-C port on your iPad Pro, a stand alone microphone is not mentioned:

Charge and connect with the USB-C port on iPad Pro

With your iPad, you may need to use a headset which allows for input and output. However, we'd recommend checking with the microphone manufacturer to verify if compatible and tested with iPadOS.

Best regards!
