Logic Pro X compatibility with OS Catalina

OK finally sorted - no help from Behringer forums, but just tried various things:

If I make sure the audio interface is switched OFF when I start up Logic, then switch it on after my project has loaded, everything works fine - no dropout.

Absolutely bizarre, but if anyone has any clue why this should be, please feel free to chip in - otherwise, if anyone else has the same/similar issue, try doing this:

1. Launch Logic with X32 switched off - Logic will use built-in sound
2. Once project fully loaded, switch on X32 - Logic will connect automatically (or ask you if you want to use the audio interface)
3. Fire up X32-Edit
4. No dropout.

It was because I needed Catalina updating first to 10.15.7, then it let me update Logic to the latest version. However, it still drops out :-(

Anyone else had this issue...?

Thanks for that - any ideas why (when I try to update) the App store only gives me the option to 'open' Logic, not update - suggesting my version IS up to date, even though it's only at 10.4.1 ?

OK, so I noticed there was no dropout if I don't fire up my audio interface software and just use the iMac soundcard, so obviously a problem between the OS and the audio interface app. Updated the app - Behringer X32-Edit - but still drops out. Might have to check out their forum....

Hi again. Yes I have plugins, and it's both audio and midi - but that's not really the point: the same project works fine on my 8 year old imac . . . . . . . .
