spacebar issue

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We'd love to help with this issue you're experiencing when typing the Space bar.

To ensure we understand correctly, let us know if this issue occurs when using any specific apps, and how frequently it seems to occur.

First, go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Text tab and look for the checkbox labeled "Add period with double-space". Is this feature enabled? If so uncheck it and see if that helps.

If that didn't help, have you had an opportunity to restart your Mac?
