My Delete key on my MacBook always functioned as a backspace (deleting the text to the left). Two days ago it changed and now only deletes text to the right. Some other keys on the keyboard also stopped working (arrow keys, volume buttons).
I doubt this would do anything but maybe try resetting the SMC. Shut down your computer then press Shift+Control+Option, then your mac should go back to the login page, try and see if your keyboard works like it is supposed to. If it doesn't then it might need a replacement or more likely a person should look inside to see if any other issues ar prevalent.
