My imac camera doesn't work in Zoom, Facetime, etc. Yes I've allowed zoom to use the camera in Prefs.
I've upgraded to Big Sur, hoping it was a Mojave problem. Still no camera.
If a friend logs in as a different user, the camera works just fine. So not a hardware issue.
Suggestions for how to fix??

Thanks Jack. Did all that. Still no camera. Am now in as new user. Can see camera yay on zoom. It’s First time zoom asked for permission to use not just microphone but camera. Now just have to rebuild all my prefs, access, links, etc. a pain!

Sometimes that is how it is. Probably something is just corrupt in your old user account.
