My iMessage has a red exclamation point and blocks everything
My iMessage has a red exclamation point, it won’t let me log in and every time I open it to fix pops a notification and doesn’t let me do anything else

In System Preferences / Apple ID / Overview try signing out and then back in again.
Do you have any problem with your Apple ID in iTunes or the App Store?
The red exclamation point is on the app it self and one I open the app it shows me a message that the connection to my Apple ID failed and once I close it, it immediately pops up again not letting me do anything else
