The battery is failing and swelling causing the bugle— this is not good. Verify your machine is backed up ASAP.

It can cause tremendous damage as it continues


  • Unplug from power ASAP
  • Shut the Mac down ASAP
  • Do not use ASAP
  • Do not attempt to service a bulging Lithium ion battery your self
