Mac is denying me access to the hard disk. I am an administrator but can't change my access (only System has Read&Write access)

Similarly to other messages I read from a couple of years ago, I have recently lost admin privileges on my "Macintosh HD" (MacBook Air). I have upgraded to Big Sur a couple of weeks ago and everything worked fine. That said, 2 days ago I realized that couldn't save on my disk (clicking the "save" button on TextEdit or Word would do nothing).

I checked the properties of "Macintosh HD" and under "Sharing & Permissions" it says that I only have Read privilege and the only one having Read & Write privileges is "System".

I don't remember having installed any special software recently except for updating Microsoft Office some weeks ago after upgrading to Big Sur, and XCode one week ago (but everything worked fine till 2 days ago).

Any ideas on what the problem is?

Can someone help me with this?

The problem was not that. It was that I was unable to click on the Save button of certain applications (and couldn't unlock the "lock" button to edit my account under User & Groups though I had administrative privileges). And I am talking about saving a file in the Desktop (that is in my home folder)...

But now, magically, everything came to normality after an automatic update of the system happened last night (?!). :)))
