Ghosting/ black lines on bottom of MBP 2017 15" screen

A few months ago I sent out my MBP for the known keyboard issue and received a whole new topcase under warranty on my MBP. Since that repair I've been having issues with ghosting/ dark pixel lines in the bottom 2cm of my 15" MBP screen as shown in the photo's below.

I've visited a certified Apple repair centre today and they told me that it is a display issue which requires a replacement of the display costing around 900 euros. I'm seriously concerned about the service of apple, the way my macbook was repaired and the cause of this issue. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this issue as well/ what the actual issue is and what the correct procedure is. I can buy a new MBP with the same specs for around 2700 euros which to me is a stretch, however, I'm also not looking to get my MBP repaired only to have the same issue again in 2-3 years...

It seems as when the MBP is cold (sub 35 degrees celcius, the screen functions properly) However, as soon as temps rise above 40 degrees celcius, the lines start to appear and the ghosting starts to happen.

Unfortunately the USB-C Apple laptops have a lot of design and manufacturing defects. These are the worst laptops Apple has ever made. I have heard of reports where a chip on the TCON board and display cable may overheat causing issues.

It is unfortunate the issue did not happen during the warranty or if it was a mail-in repair then during the 90 day part/repair warranty period after the last repair.
