Hi Jeremy

I never delete calendar events and I only use iCloud for iCal. I do have other email accounts but don't use their calendar facilities. I certainly do not share my Apple ID with anyone else. I do have various aliases attached to my AppleID. Could that be the cause of the issue? Also, if I got to iCal preferences, I see that my Calendar has an ID ending @mac.com. This is my main email account. However, sometime in the past, Apple changed my ID to end @me.com (this is the one I have to login with). So could this explain why some past calendar events have disappeared ?

Hey leafn4give,

Sounds like you're looking for some calendar events which are no longer showing in the Calendar app of your Mac.

It's unclear if these are events which have been deleted or not though. If all your calendars are selected, then the events would appear if still available, which leads us to believe that they may be deleted. If so, you'll find everything you need to know to attempt to restore these events using iCloud.com if the events were stored on your iCloud account.

If you deleted iCloud calendars or events from Mac

For third-party emails, we'd suggest working with the email provider to check into the options available to attempt to restore data there.

We hope this information helps out.

Have a great rest of your day!

leafn4give,

Sounds like you have several different aliases. If you have an iCloud account, you could have any of the following login aliases: @me.com, @mac.com, and @icloud.com.

Regardless of which one you use to login to your account, it's still the same account, so this wouldn't have any impact on which calendar events appear. What you are seeing should be the same regardless of which alias you're logging in with.

At this point, if the events are missing, you can attempt to recover them using iCloud.com. Once logged in, click on your name at the top-right and go to Account Settings. Here you'll see the option to restore any recently deleted or missing calendar events. For more info, check out: If you accidentally deleted your calendars, bookmarks, or contacts from iCloud

If you're unable to restore these events using the steps in the resource above, they won't be retrievable.

Have a great day!

leafn4give,

While we understand you don't recall deleting these events, if you have all calendars selected to appear, and these events are not appearing, then they've been deleted whether it was something you did yourself or not.

Do you share your Apple ID with anyone else? Also, it's still unclear whether these missing events are all associated with a particular mail account or if multiple accounts are affected, and if so what are they? Were all these events created manually by yourself or were some of them created by an outside source or invites from other users?

If isolated to a particular mail account, you may want to reach out to the email provider to check for any additional options through them. If related to iCloud calendars, then the resource we provided above would still apply.

Take care!
