iPhone backup

i backed up my iphone onto my mac and for some reason the data has been encrypted and paaasword locked. i didnt set a password and now cant access my old data especially my photos and it wasnt backed up amywhere else. how can i access this??

Backup is encrypted but option was not selected and password not set: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250065126 - certain items require an encrypted backup be used and it is possible to do one without really realizing what is going on.


If you do not know the password then there is nothing you can do about backups created with one, sorry.
