calendar screen view

ok, so somehow my calendar is no longer fullscreen and I have a strip on the left side that shows details for today or a list of all the calendars shown...How do I get it back to full screen view?

Calendar month view Now instead of the detail of events previously displayed in the monthly calendar I only see dots. This is very disturbing as I have events every day and the weekly or daily view which still shows event details does nor suffice. This was a terrible upgrade! Is there anyway I can adjust settings to display the detail view in monthly calendar?

The sidebar can be enabled/disabled by tapping the highlighted icon. Each icon activates a different sidebar view.
