I recently upgraded my mac to Big Sur. Now I cannot print to my HP 7520 Photosmart 7520 printer. Is there any software update for the HP available? I do not see anything on the HP site they just reference Catalina? If this printer is not available anymore with the new OS can anyone suggest a good photo printer that would work well with Big Sur?

The HP Photosmart 7520 device is supported by Apple's built-in AirPrint driver when used as a wired/wireless device. Once you have it configured and powered on, visit System Preferences > Printers & Scanners panel, and right-click on your 7520 Printers entry. Select Reset printing system… and instead of re-adding the device with HP drivers, choose AirPrint instead.
You should now be able to print something, and Apple's Image Capture should recognize the scanner. Other settings may be available to you on the Printers & Scanners panel itself for this device.

That is what I mean by wireless. When you select Reset printing system… it should pop an intermediary panel showing that the device was discovered by Bonjour on your network. You should select that entry, and another re-add panel should appear where you select drivers, and AirPrint should be conspicuously present.
Thanks for the reply. I reset the printing system and I do not see any Airprint option? I do not see any printers available now in the system preferences box.
AirPrint only works with networked (wired/wireless) devices or very few specific print servers. and if that were the case, you would have seen an AirPrint option on that re-add menu.
When you are saying networked my printer is on my home wireless network.
When I try to go back and add my printer I now get a pop-up box error that says “fax.backend” will damage your computer.?
