Hi. I use gmail as Apple ID. Yesterday I created iCloud account and wanted to switch from gmail to icloud also in Apple ID settings (I want to completely delete google account which used to sign in for Apple ID). The message I get is "This email address cannot be used as an Apple ID at this time".
What am I doing wrong?
I try to do it via browser from Mac and also from iPhone's settings and I get same error.

I tried this way
It doesn't ask me to try later. It's just says that I can't change Apple ID.
There is no passwords and accounts in iOS 14.4
Also I don't want to create new Apple ID. I already have @icloud.com account and want to use it as main login for Apple ID entering
