When on a call iMessages stop working

I have an iPhone 11promax. My iMessages turn off whenever I’m on a phone call and it will send as text instead. Here is an example: I’m talking on the phone and I try to send a iMessage but I can see the green arrow and it will only send a text message. The others person's reply comes back as an iMessage, after this the next three messages I send go out as an iMessage, other persons reply comes back as an iMessage, and my next two replies go as an iMessage and then after a few minutes the next message I try to send goes out as a text message. This only happens when I’m on a phone call. I’ve restarted my phone multiple times and tried trouble shooting, but nothing works. I don’t know what to do.. it started happening only since the last update.

I contacted applet to assist with this issue and customer service suggested this was a software glitch that occurred after my phone was updated to the latest software. They let me know it clearly had nothing to do with a connectivity to wifi or data. It was suggested that I try a factory reset to new and see if the problem was still occurring and if it was no longer occurring, that would confirm that it was glitch that had occurred when installing the software update. Once the factory reset was done - it was clear that it had been a software problem, just as customer service suggested. I will be reinstalling the back up as instructed and letting customer service know the issue has been resolved.

That is because there is no internet on your network either on WiFi or on Cellular.

Check your WiFi Router / Modem for --> Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points ...

Connecting to Wifi is the first part and then getting connected to the Internet is the second

  1. If you connect to a Wifi, doesn't necessarily mean you are connected to the internet. If you are not connected to wifi could be a problem of iPhone settings or Router/Modem Settings
  2. If you are not connected to the internet is the sole issue of Router / Modem Settings. Contact your ISP immediately

For your Internet connection.

  • Over Cellular: contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider). The agency who issued the SIM to you
  • Over WiFI: Contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider), the agency who provided the Internet Service on your Modem/Router to you

This isn’t the case. Because I can Google and shop for things things whilst talking, and after the other person sends in a iMessage I can also return in iMessages for a couple minutes. So what you’re saying doesn’t actually answer to what I’m saying is the my problem. When I’m not talking on the phone there is absolutely no problem with my iMessages.
