If you have any apps that have not been converted to run natively on an M1 Mac, then you will need to let macOS install Rosetta if you want to use those Intel apps. Apple made Rosetta so that people could attempt to use their Intel apps until the developers are able to release native M1 apps.
No issue to use as required. If you don not the program will not function properly or at all.
