iPhone 12 pro starting

I've noticed I have to hold down the button on the side 3 times before the phone will turn on. The first time I press and hold the button the apple logo flashes for less than a second and then the screen goes black and does the same thing on the second attempt. But (always) on the third try the apple logo appears and the phone turns on. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?
