My AirPod case won’t turn on or my airpods they only turn on when the case is plugged in to the charger, but when it’s charging it flashes a quick orange light, until I take the pods out and put them back in. And every time I take it off the charger I have to repeat the process again.

The charging light goes out after a few seconds, but the AirPods are still charging. Also see this:
