My iPhone 12 won't let me set up voicemail greeting

As we understand it, you're attempting to setup a custom greeting for your iPhone's voicemail.

If your iPhone's voicemail has already been setup, you should see a "Greeting" option in the top left of the Voicemail tab of the Phone app. After tapping Greeting, you'll be presented the option to choose a Default or Custom voicemail. If you still can’t add a Custom voicemail greeting, please contact your carrier for help.

Once your voicemail is working, you can also set up Visual Voicemail if your carrier supports it.
