startup items

Two apps start up at login or restart but are not shown in System Preferences - account - Login items. That is really strange. Where can I change / remove these apps?

Start up Apps When I boot up my 2019 iMac, several programs also open up, such as Adobe, Spotify, Mail, Activity Monitor, and others. When I go into General Settings to check which items are supposed to open at login, there is only one app listed. How do I get the others to quit opening at Boot? I'm running the latest version of Ventura.

open application at log in I have un-checked Open At Login on each application and have removed any applications under System Preferences-> Users and Groups. I still have a Mail, Maps, and a bunch of other applications popping up when I turn on the computer. Anyone has experienced the same? Thanks.

Some apps have their own startup setting and don't need to be listed in Login Items. Check the preferences for the apps in question.

You can check the User Library if you can't find the startup item in Login Item especially in LaunchAgents and LaunchDaemons.
