Since upgrading to 11.2, text message authentication codes are no longer accessible to Safari?

Before my upgrade to 11.2 (Big Sur) text messages containing dual authentication code numbers used to be readily available when hovering over a field that required the code number. Since upgrading, I no longer see the import option. Message preferences are set to identify my text phone number. Is there some other setting I'm missing?

Thanks.

Hi Rick2008,

We see you're having issues with the autofill feature not prompting to enter the security code sent to you. We'd be happy to help out.

Are you receiving the text message containing the security code via SMS on your Mac in the Messages app? If not, that will likely be the reason. We'll want to first ensure the Text Message Forwarding feature is set up and working well. This page has the steps for that: Autofill security codes from your iPhone in Safari on Mac

If it does arrive as expected to the Messages app on the Mac, and it still isn't showing it as an autofill option, try a quick restart of the Mac. You can also test this out in a new Admin user on the Mac, which can help to isolate things down to either a system-wide or user-specific issue. Steps for that are here: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

Take care!
