No notification of message from one contact

Hi cfrwill,
It sounds like you are unable to receive notifications from a one of the contacts on your iPhone. We can help with this.
To start, we'd recommend checking to make sure the conversation with this contact is not muted. If you see a crescent moon icon to the left of the conversation thread, you will want to swipe left then tap the bell icon to enable notifications. If you continue to experience issues, make sure the contact isn't blocked in Settings > Messages, then under SMS/MMS tap Blocked. You can find out more information about blocked contacts here: Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
