I've a Series 6 SE and iphone 11, all software up to date. Don't know why the HR chart data isn't displaying on workouts? I checked the watch during the workout and the HR is changing. When I look at the recorded data on the iphone for some reason it stops recording shortly after starting the run and starts again after I've finished.

thanks, very simple solution! Very cold here this time of year and when running I'm only wearing a thin running top and the watch became slightly loose - tried pulling it up the forearm a little to keep it tight and its working fine.

Just checked, not in power saving mode.
Done a few workout trials and it is working fine on outdoor walking but not on outdoor run. I have an elasticated strap and no tattoo's by the way.
Try tightening the watch a bit and don't wear it on top of any tattoos.
Are you in Workout Power Saving Mode?,this turns off the heart rate monitor.
