Recently, I've been noticing my battery level drop a lot, my iPhone says it’s 91% Healthy, yet photos running is the highest cause of battery drain and it goes from like 70% to 50% in like 10 minutes where it used to take like 50 mins. Is it my phone?
If you have iCloud photo sync enabled it will transfer photos to iCloud, which uses energy. Photos will also sort and index your photos, however, that only happens when you have made changes to them. You can go to Settings/General/Background App Refresh and turn it off if you don’t want this to happen except when you open the Photos app.

I’d never noticed. I guess you can’t stop it, then. But it will only run after you have added or organized photos; once finished it won’t use energy. You can also go to Settings/Photos and turn off Cellular Data, which will limit syncing to when you have a Wi-Fi connection.
It is a temporary condition. Once your photos are synced and organized it will stop. BTW, you are never on Wi-Fi when the screen is locked; Wi-Fi is turned off to save battery when the phone is locked, so all data communications will go over cellular.

Im always on wifi and i use icloud photos, is there no real way to solve this?
