MacBook Pro grainy camera is NORMAL?

I just received my MacBook Pro 2 days ago. Replacing my 2013 MacBook Air. The camera is BAD. My old Mac's cam is way better than the so called MacBook Pro HD cam.

When I called the Apple support, I talked to 3 reps in different times. All were nice and helpful. A rep said this is might be the NORMAL quality! I told him that the old Mac is way better, he said I hear you.

Have you guys figured anything out?

Hi there talalham,

We understand you're not seeing the quality you expect from your Mac's camera. Have you tested it out in multiple apps? If it's being used for streaming video, other factors may play a role.

Try testing out the camera with Photo Booth, and see if you notice any improvement. The following page can help: Photo Booth User Guide

Cheers!
