Old Ipad Mini

I have an old ipad mini that will not connect to my secure home network (i.e. password protected, WPA2/3 etc.). The ipad will connect to my home network just fine if I temporarily turn off the wifi security and it also connects to other unsecured wifi networks as well. However, no matter what type of wifi security I choose through a manual selection (WPA, WPA2, WPA3 etc.), making absolutely certain that the password provided is correct, the ipad will not connect to the secure wifi network. The ipad mini is operating with the last available iOS for this model (9.3.5) and no futher updates are available/supported. Is there any known work-around for this issue? Note: I have followed all the online suggestions I could find (clearing network settings to full iOS reload to no avail. Can someone help? Thanks!!!
