i got a new iPhone se and the home button stopped working. After I inspected it I saw that the home button was cracked. I didn’t drop it or anything so I don’t know where the crack was from. I looked into it and it seems other people with iPhone 8’s and 7s have had this issue. Has anyone else experienced this?

FWIW. I had the 1st gen iPhone SE, and currently have a 2nd gen SE and have never come across this issue.
Regardless, I suggest that you make a Genius Bar appointment at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them take a look and provide you with your options. If the Apple Technician determines that this is a manufacturing defect, you may find any repairs to be at no cost to you.

You will have to get it repaired. Accidental damage is not covered by the warranty.
