What type of fonts can we use on Apple M1 Chip 2021 and beyond?

We used to be able to use any kind of Font on a Mac. For example I am using a Mac Pro Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 (Mid 2012). I used to run Font Suitcase and load any font in there and my Adobe CC products would be able to use them. I currently am using RightFont 5 which still seems to allow True Type, Open Type or even PostScript fonts to be used. We just purchased a Mac Mini with Apple M1 Chip Mac OS BigSur 11.1. Only True Type Fonts seem to work on it. Since we are a print shop we've always needed to load all kinds of fonts as we get all kinds of files form customers and a lot of times have to make changes to files, so we load the font we need and move on to the next job. That will no longer be the case with Adobe going away from PostScript fonts. I guess my question is what is the future of font use on Mac's with Apple Chips? Will there be one source we can find Apple Chip friendly fonts? If we are being forced to purchase more fonts, I'd like to know the fonts we are buying will be useful for years down the line.

Mac mini 2018 or later
