Calls with no sound then fail

I have an IPhone 7 Plus in excellent condition. Never had any problems before. I try to make a call but i can’t hear it ringing and then it fails. If I try to answer one, I can’t hear anything and neither does the other person. I’ve tried using speaker phone and Bluetooth speaker with mic with same issue. I restart my phone and it works again for a little while but then it happens again. All other sounds on my phone work for media, (Games, movies, etc.) even when this problem is happening. what is wrong with my phone.

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities Carmen,

We understand you're having some trouble making and receiving calls from your iPhone.

If you're seeing a message that says "Call failed", check to make sure you have a strong network signal. If you don't test using your iPhone in a different location where you do get a strong signal to see whether there's any change.

Checking to see whether you have the latest available carrier settings may help as well: Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad

Cheers!

This didn’t help. I even had my service reset my network and it worked again for a few minutes and then it happened again. Calls do go through now but still no sound. My daughter called me and It showed when I answered it but it kept ringing. Also I just realized that Siri can’t hear me either. I can use Siri with the home button without a problem but when I say “hey Siri” nothing happens
