USB-C External Microphone doesn't work on Clubhouse or in any chat application

I don't know if the problem just occurs for me or this is a common thing.

I have a PreSonus Revelator microphone. It can be connected to my iPad via usb-c and it has no problems recording audio on voice memos app. It has a headphone jack too and when I plug in my Headphones, I can hear everything. All seems functional.

On apps such as Clubhouse for example:

When I join to a room, I can hear people with my headphones that I plugged in to PreSonus.

When I switch my role to a speaker in a room however, microphone completely disables itself. I can not hear with my headphones and my Presonus doesn't take my voice.

App just using iPad speakers and microphone.

I would like to know if it's because of my setup or this is a common thing among iPadOs.

Problem seems to be with live voice chat apps.

If you have any suggestions I would like to hear them.

Thank you for your help.

I don't think it's solvable, because I think it is someone, weirdly, and maybe unintentionally, a Clubhouse "feature," i.e., the problem is that Clubhouse itself disables the microphone, as you said.

So, with a single pass through cable, I can (1) hear Clubhouse with the monitor jack on the microphone, while I (2) use the microphone (with the easy-to-spot reverb prset) to successfully record on the voice app....but (3) only the clubhouse microphone voice with reverb records.

So, I'm hearing an audio out signal generated through the phone all the way to the iocrhpone output, but the voice app will only record me and the mike.

And certainly, it doesn't work at all if I try to use it on Clubhouse directly.

What a mind-f**k! Maybe Sonus might have an answer.

I read your original post, I was just confused when you mentioned the 3rd party app, but then you say that the problem was with voice calls in general. So I was confused if that mean a normal cellular call as well, or if it was just with apps. At that point, since I don't use that app, and since it is not an Apple app, I would suggest contacting their support about how it may interact with external microphones. And you would probably do well to contact the mic manufacturer to ask them about the iPad using their device with 3rd party apps as well.

Oh I'm sorry. I posted my problem also on other forums and I wrote that on one of those let me explain a bit more.

I don't know if the problem just occurs for me or it's how the app works but:

I have a PreSonus Revelator microphone. It can be connected to my iPad via usb-c and it has no problems recording audio on voice memos app. It has a headphone jack too and I can hear everything without any problems.

When I join to a room, I can hear people with my headphones that I plugged in to PreSonus.

When I switch my role to a speaker in a room however, microphone completely disables itself. I can not hear with my headphones and my Presonus doesn't take my voice.

App just using iPad speakers and microphone.

I would like to know if it's because of my setup or this is a common thing among iOs and iPadOs or just Clubhouse.

Problem also occurs on other voice apps such as zoom and google meet for me. When the application goes on "voicechat" mode, ipad disables the external microphone. I'm in a hurry, so I couldn't explain it well but I guess you got it.
