Is there a touch gesture to take me back to my 1st home page. Not the home page I was just on, but the one that opens up after it is unlocked.

If you are on a home page other than the 1st home page a very short swipe/flick up from the very bottom edge of iPad's screen, will return your iPad to the 1st, main home screen page.
