iPhone 12 display shifts and slides across the screen in some apps (iPhone 12 pro max)

iPhone 12 Pro Max... the option wasn’t there. Kinda hard to explain but in some apps (safari and Facebook and others maybe all of them). The screen shifts and slides around randomly. I feel like it has to do with the mechanism in how you can swipe up to switch apps...because it seems to move around when I’m typing near the bottom of the screen depending where I’m tapping. But it’s super annoying cause it hides part of my display at times.

anyone heard of this?

I believe that you are activating the "Reachability" feature of your iPhone inadvertently. You have an iPhone 11 Pro Max which has a large screen and it is difficult to reach the top of the screen when handling the iPhone with one hand. The Reachability feature helps to bring down the top section of the screen/app so that you can access it. To try this feature, SWIPE DOWN from the BOTTOM EDGE of your screen from any app and you will pull the screen down.

If you are accidentally activating this feature and would like to turn it OFF then open Settings ➔ Accessibility ➔ Touch ➔ Reachability: Set this to OFF.
