phone wont go past apple loading screen

My iPhone XS won’t go past the Apple loading screen, I have connected to my Mac and have attempted to force restart and update but it gets half way through and says there is an error. I really don’t want to have to completely restore as my iPhone hasn’t backed up a years worth of photos between 2019-2020 and I don’t want to lose them all. Is there anyway I can save these photos to iCloud first? Or can I send to Apple to do this for me?
