Hi j1mike2,
Only Late 2012 iMacs and newer support Mojave. If you do not have a Late 2012 or newer Mac, you cannot get Mojave or later. You can check by going to the Apple menu (top left) > About this Mac. If it is a Late 2012 or newer, you can update.
Late 2012-2013 iMacs: Get Catalina (Better than Mojave): https://apps.apple.com/us/app/macos-catalina/id1466841314?mt=12
2014-present iMacs: Get Big Sur (Better than Catalina): https://apps.apple.com/us/app/macos-big-sur/id1526878132?mt=12
Anything older is stuck with 10.13, and you cannot use the software.
Cheers,
Jack

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and if your iMac is a 2012 or newer model, download Mojave, Catalina, or Big Sur. If not, your only option is to use the online version of TurboTax.

If your iMac is a 2014 or later, then simply using Software Update in System Preferences, if you have an 2012 or 2013 you can run 10.15.x, however if your iMac is a 2011 or older you are at the end of the road with10.13.6 and need a new Mac or need some other solution.
