camera notification green dot flashes when camera is on and there is black screen with front and rear camera. no other camera apps have picture either. facetime says camera is being used by other application and there is none running. HELP!!!

Thank you for the additional information. See if you can pinpoint what app is using your camera. One by one, close the apps on your iPhone Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch and see if the green indicator turns off when a particular app is closed. You can also try turning off access of apps to your camera in Settings > Privacy > Camera, Control access to hardware features on iPhone. Here you can also turn them off one by one to see if you can identify what app could be causing this.

It sounds like it is showing that the camera is on for your iPad as you see the green indicator similar to About the orange and green indicators in your iPhone status bar, but your front or back camera is not working with multiple apps.

Seems the camera is stuck being used by something. When I try FaceTime it says camera in use by another application. I’ve tried all the suggestions online and nothing. When I open camera the button shows it looks like it takes a pic say when I push volume button but nothing shows.
Tried everything. There is nothing running. I have reset it. Restored it. Nothing. Any app that can use the camera is black screen.
