why does the purple arrow of « find my iphone » so frequently on ?

Hi.

« find my » is sending my position many times in 5 to 10 minutes besides I don’t launch « find my iPhone » app.

apparently it’s happening to many of us for a few months but I can’t find an explanation on any forum.

does anyone knows why ? A new update function ?

and how could I return to a normal mode (in which “find my” doesn’t use position so frequently) to save battery life ?
