Shortcut writing health data (specifically caffeine)

Hi!

I am currently trying to write a shortcut to log my caffeine intake.

In the shortcut app it is displaying:

Unlike other similar links, this just opens the health app.

In ‘Data Access & Devices’ > ‘Shortcuts’ there is no way of me turning on permission to write caffeine data.

This is the same in both the health app and in settings.

Any tips?

Hey there Ruben,

We'd like to help however we can with getting your caffeine intake saved in the Health app.

Let's rule out a few things to start:

  1. It would be a good idea to confirm if you're able to manually enter your caffeine intake within the Health app without using a shortcut.
  2. We see you have an iPhone 11, and the latest version is 14.4. You can verify which version number is installed within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  3. If you already have iOS 14.4 installed, we recommend a restart: Restart your iPhone
