Shortcut writing health data (specifically caffeine)

Trying to get an answer to this conversation that was started and died.

Hi!

I am currently trying to write a shortcut to log my caffeine intake.

In the shortcut app it is displaying:

Unlike other similar links, this just opens the health app.

In ‘Data Access & Devices’ > ‘Shortcuts’ there is no way of me turning on permission to write caffeine data.

This is the same in both the health app and in settings.

I can manually enter Caffeine data

I'm using an iPhone 13 with the latest OS

Is this something that Apple have removed?

I've seen other people have created shortcuts some time ago to do this, but they all fail at the point of actually trying to add data to the caffeine element of the Health App.

No, I'm just using the Shortcuts app.

The issue appears to be that the Health app does not allow any other applications to update the caffeine data.

There does not appear to be any option to enable this as there is for other health data.

The link from shortcuts about access takes you to the caffeine settings where there's a tick for reading but nothing for writing.

Now I found the setting

Sorted.
