Two iCloud accounts, same aliases?

Hello everyone, I have a question about iCloud account alias.

I currently have two iCloud accounts, one for just emails, and the other one for everything else. The email account already have an alias created under it.

Now I would like to start using the other iCloud account for sending and receiving emails as well.

My question is can I set up another alias under this other iCloud account that bears the same name as on the other account? Is there a checking system for the availability of alias names? How does it work?

Hi mushroomgamer87,

To make sure we're on the same page, you have two separate Apple ID's one already used for email with at least one alias. You'd like to start using your other Apple ID for email as well, but want to create the same alias under that second ID?

If so, that would not be supported, however you can give that secondary accounts alias similar name if you'd like. Take a look here for more info regarding aliases
