I'm writing a book its is google docs> how can I transfer or move or copy it into Pages and work on it in Pages

how can I transfer or copy a 300 page document from Google Drive to Pages and continue working on it in Pages?

You download it as a Word .docx and just open it in Pages, which will translate it into Page's own internal .pages document format, leaving the Word document untouched. You would reverse the translation process by exporting back to Word. Apple does not guarantee any aspect of the translation process and some unsupported content may be changed or omitted.
