I can't find an easy way to create a seamless horizontal loop from a still image... I have the image but how can I make it repeat and scroll infinitely ?

If you look in filters-tiling/offset and then apply a rate behavior to the x offset. This will produce the scroll..may or may not be exactly what you need for this project.
