Apple Watch App

My Apple Watch app won’t open so I can’t start pairing my new Apple Watch. I tried deleting the app so I could reinstall it but that only removed the icon from my Home Screen. How can I fix this?

Will force closing apps on apple watch improve performance/battery? I recently bought an Apple Watch SE and I am wondering if closing apps will improve performance or battery life. Cupertino still show up on Apple Watch after being deleted from iPhone I have done everything suggested. I deleted Cupertino and New York from world clock on iPhone. Cupertino still shows up on my watch. I live on east coast and could care less about weather on west coast [Re-Titled by Moderator]
