I was on during class and all of a sudden this glitchy bar across the bottom of the screen appeared, its not suppose to be there and not sure how to fix it. Has anyone else had this problem before?

Ended up uninstalling AV did the resetting and still the same issue. i might just have to take it in, but that makes it a huge deal if i cant get it back that same day due to me being in school.

To trouble shoot further you can:

 —Try a SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5-15 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache,  etc.

Login and test. Reboot  as normal and test as caches get rebuilt.

In Safe mode third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled, it removes malware, etc hampering smooth operation, however a  reboot will put it back to normal mode.

This test will tell you if third party interference; extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account  https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204443

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/Anti-Virus/VPN

Clean My Mac is one of the worst, look for the official uninstaller and get rid of it...This is causes nothing but added issues to the macOS. Don't do it.

Clean My Mac —great marketing campaign, and a strong wallet vac.

These forums are littered with 100's /1000's of post with issues caused by Clean My Mac.

What happens if you reboot?

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

Yes please follow through and report back.

Third party AV is not recommended— it typically does nothing but add issues to the macOS and competes directly with Apples own built in security:
