How do I bring up a Search strap (or as it seems to also have been called Spotlight Search) on the iPad - the swipe down from the middle of the top of the screen does not do so? If done, it brings up the Notifications screen.
Swiping from left to right on both the lock screen and the home screen brings up the widgets.
Swiping from left to right on the lock screen brings up the camera app.
My iPad is running OS 14.4

One point to note is that this solution is not available on the lock screen, only the home screen (not complaining, just pointing it out for those others like me who expected it to be there as it is on the iPhone! via the widget bar)

Swipe a finger downward literally from any place on screen that is NOT the top middle of the iPad's screen to bring up the Spotlight search bar.
