No sound notification when phone is locked

I have been missing a lot of notification such as as messages, messenger, emails, missed calls etc. I tried to fix the issue myself looking for solutions on the web and support page but looks like I dont have the proper solutions for this problem. I got this phone as I thought that it will be better than my pixel 4 xl but right now having this issue is giving me negative impact with my work and personal. I have missed alot since. I was told I was ignoring calls from my family and friends when a call was missed. I already tried different methods of fixing the problem and this includes erasing and resetting the phone. I hope that you guys can provide a better and easy solution. I came from android and I was told to get iPhone as it is easier and better support for end user. Please provide a better solution and please do not leave your costumers in a situation like this as it impacts daily life.

Hello DenLop,

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about not receiving notifications for the Messages app. Complete the following steps, testing after each one to see if the issue resolves:

Be sure the Do Not Disturb feature is not causing this: Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Double check the notification settings to ensure they're set correctly: Use notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Check to ensure your software and apps are updated. The current software version is 14.4. To see what you have installed, tap Settings > General > About. If an update is needed, be sure to back up your iPhone first:
Check for a carrier update after ensuring 14.4 is installed, by tapping Settings > General > About again. If one is available, it will pop-up here to install: Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad
Does the issue continue? If so, check your date and time settings by tapping Settings > General > Date & Time. From here, be sure "Set Automatically" is turned on, and the "Time Zone" area shows correct. If changes are made here, restart your iPhone, then test the notifications.
If you're using a VPN or security software, temporarily disable or remove those to see if the notifications appear as expected. If so, you'll want to reach out to the app developer to look into this more: How to contact an app developer
