Mail storage on Apple Watch I am trying to update my Apple Watch to the latest version XXXX. It states that I need 2.2 GB of room to upgrade. So I check my Usage and my Mail account is showing 993 MB used. I went to the account that is associated with this and deleted all emails as well as what was in the Trash folder. I am now down to less than 20 total emails. Yet, when I go back to my Apple watch and look at Usage, the total used has not changed. I have tried looking at my iCloud account and do not keep mail there. Rebooted my Apple watch and searched internet for any solutions. I have yet to find any. How can I reduce the size of the Mail storage on my Apple watch?

Apple Watch storage space Ok so my Apple Watch has limited space and can’t update because of email and photos. I use neither and have the absolute barest minimum settings for both but still takes up literally all my storage. How do I get rid of them so it can update

How do you free up space on the watch in order to install update? When I try to update my watchOS, I get a message: Cannot Install Update. To install the watchOS update, your Apple Watch needs to have at least 2.2 GB of available storage. You can free up storage by deleting apps using the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Usage shows 3.0 GB used and 1.7 GB available. It lists 4 apps using a total of 21.7 MB, I app using 112 MB and the mail app using 475 MB. That does not total 3 GB. Why is any mail saved on my watch? How do I delete it?

Try this;

Unpair your Apple Watch via the Watch app on your iPhone.

Then Re-pair your Apple Watch,this frees up a surprisingly large amount of storage space.And without any loss of data.
