MacBook Pro keyboard liquid damage

A while back I spilled a half cup of hot tea on my MacBook Pro's keyboard. I of course didn't follow all the recommendations they give you, ie: turn it off, let it stand as a tent to drain the liquid etc. it still boots up but there are keys that will not function properly or at all, therefore I cannot log in. I did take it to the authorized retailed and pretty much told me to buy a new one since it would cost just as much to fix it. At this point I wonder if there's anything I can do for it but if any one has any ideas I am all ears! thanks.
