Does the iPad work like a laptop?

What is the difference between an apple ipad and a laptop Does the iPad work like a laptop. If yes, which one should we take?

No, an iPad is not a laptop, IMO. MacOS and Windows are true preemptive multitasking operating systems. iOS and iPadOS are not. They do offer a form of multitasking, but it is not what you’re used to with a true preemptive multitasking operating system.


So if you’re used to working with multiple apps open simultaneously and rapidly and seamlessly switching between them, then you need a laptop, not an iPad.


An iPad, again IMO, as a companion tool to a laptop or desktop, is wonderful. But it is not a replacement for the laptop.
