AirPods Pro transparency issues

first of all, this categorization is problematic. there are no specific options for AirPods, just AirPods as a whole group. when I post in here about AirPods issues, I just get the same robo-response that doesn't even apply to my AirPods Pro.

but the real issue is the transparency mode in the left earbud. it does not seem to function at all. I've cleaned out all of the mics, I've completely reset the buds multiples times and the devices they're connected to, but no luck.

the left AirPod in general has always been problematic. it's also the only bud that has issues with not charging on occasion and not detecting my ear.

I want to love these buds, because their awesome when they work, but they're too inconsistent.
